ABOUT THE AUTHOR
William “Bill” Branley is a veteran of the high-stakes worlds of Wall Street and global luxury, bringing an unflinching, first-person perspective to the “six-star” survival instinct. A graduate of Tulane University, where he played football as a walk-on noseguard, Bill earned his Series 7 and 63 licenses at the turn of the millennium, beginning an explosive career as an institutional bond broker at Cantor Fitzgerald.
His professional journey eventually transitioned from the trading floor to the arbiter of global excellence, serving as Vice President of the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS). In this role, he helped oversee the International Star Diamond Award, the elite benchmark of luxury seen at world-class properties like Mar-a-Lago and Trump International.
Today, Bill is an author and project manager whose work bridges the gap between the “Fugazzi” (fake) facades of power and the pursuit of a grounded, authentic life. His debut memoir, Confessions of the Fugazzi Kid—a 2026 IPPY Award Official Selection—chronicles his journey through extreme professional highs and personal reinvention. He lives in Cranford, New Jersey, with his wife Elena, their daughter Catherine, and their two Labrador Retrievers, Bailey and Phoenix.
